At its most technical, this is a microphone, and it works. That's all I can say about it. This is NOT a noise canceling microphone. The mic is mounted on the front of the condenser tube, meaning all those holes are meaningless. The mute button is actually an on/off button as shown in the picture. Of course, this means that Windows will choose a different microphone because it no longer recognizes this microphone. I ordered this for use with a Voice over IP system connected via VPN to a softphone which it is not suitable for, but for testing I've done speech dictation tests with Word and Notepad and I've had great results after dictating. I like the size and how stable it stands on the table and how easy it is to put on and take off. I'm certainly not dissatisfied with what it can do for me for other recording applications.

I needed this for an online course and it was very easy to set up, drivers weren't a problem for Windows 10. It has a decent cord length but I personally would have liked a microphone was due to my Hardware setups a little longer (no ringing in the product). This is a good value for money microphone. The button is a physical on/off button, mute button/switch for the microphone, but it would be a plus to stay connected to Windows. If you disable it, Windows completely loses touch with it.

My only concern is that wireless headsets can filter out feedback. This paired with speakers can not. Maybe there is software for that, but I don't want to go through all of that right now.

I wasn't aware of this issue until I used it in my games. It immediately started popping and popping to the point where I couldn't use it anymore without driving the listeners on the other end crazy. The reason may be poor build quality. I'm not sure. Not recommended, I want to edit this post. They sent me another microphone from this company. Sound quality is really overestimated in the reviews. You can hear yourself, but the sound quality is actually better on my AirPods than on this thing. I just didn't want "things" hanging out of my ears in my videos. I missed the window to return it, such a shame for me, but I wouldn't recommend this mic to anyone unless you only had $15 to spare.

I bought this mic based on reviews that said the on/off switch does exactly that - turn the mic on or off . Unfortunately, this does not mean that the microphone STAYS on. It is only active for the time the button is pressed. This means that every time I press the button, the microphone is recognized as a USB device and as soon as I release the button, it disappears from my devices. Essentially useless - none of my programs recognize the microphone unless I hold the button down the whole time…

I got this mic because my laptop doesn't have a built in mic. It works well and reception is clear, but you have to be close enough to have an acceptable recording volume. Beyond a foot away, the volume drops off sharply. Note. If you hear a strange buzzing sound during recording, unplug your computer/laptop as the power cord plugged in at the same time may cause interference. It took me some time to figure that out.
