is not required, so I only bought it because I had to. I bought HD120 RGB fans a few months ago. I've seen videos online about how they're going to release software to control the fans. What they didn't say is that if you want to control them from your computer, you'll have to buy a $60 lighting node. The RGB strips are good. They have magnets so you don't have to use tape on the back. They get pretty bright and there are plenty of ways to customize them using the Corsair Link software. although you can't set each individual light to the color of your choice, which is a little disappointing. All in all if you just want RGB strips I would definitely recommend buying this, it's very easy to install and will make your PC look really pretty. If you've already bought the HD120 fans and want more control over them, you'll have to shell out an additional $60 for them.
