Used for Wirefly Shrink Connectors. I bought 3 connectors from a set of 500 pieces. and already used half of it to hook up the boat. complete gut and replace restoration project. I have used all sizes and styles of connectors from this set with this crimping tool. That works fine. Doesn't shrink. Trial and error matched some of the negative reviews but then I realized what I was doing wrong. First: Expose the required amount of wire. 10, 12, 14, 16 AWG require different lengths of bare wire for proper crimping. Second, properly orient the connector in the crimping tool. You may need to crimp close to the insulation first and then crimp further back. You will also need to rotate the connector so that the cut on the connector crushes the wire in the same way. Finally: do a pull test. If it pops up, check to see if both sides of the connector are pinched at the connector. If not, then you haven't set it up correctly.
