Review on LG 32UN880-B UltraFine 31.5" 4K Monitor - Tilt, Pivot, Height Adjustment, Connectivity by Chris Haynes

I am a professional home and private chef and I teach cooking via video as well as online and live. I'm also an online influencer and commentator. So my needs are mixed and numerous when it comes to microphones, mixers and input devices for computers, studio and editing equipment and various software. Quality monitors are essential for both video and photo editing. This LG monitor met my expectations and my needs. The monitor setup on my desk is phenomenal! The ergo stand is fantastic and allows the 32 inch monitor to "float" in any position it is moved. Fabulous! The monitor can also be placed in landscape or portrait format. the only product with VESA mount for many monitors. Really, REALLY great innovation! I connected a monitor to my new 16" MacBookPro M1 MAX via USB-C and have not encountered any of the issues described by other reviewers here. The monitor delivers excellent color reproduction and brightness with no flickering, white cast or other glitches. I use the monitor mainly for video editing and photo post processing. DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro look great on the monitor, as does Lightroom and Photoshop. Games with products like the new updated Myst are also very visually intense. Of course there are other IPS 4K monitors that surpass the features and performance of this monitor but the downside is they are going to cost A LOT more and unless you are editing to theater release standards this monitor does everything else brilliantly, as mentioned it is when using one USB-C cable with a Mac, it is important to disable HDR in the operating system's system preferences in order to ensure that the colors are displayed correctly. The controls on the monitor are simple and relatively easy to set up. Cables and wiring are managed within the ergo stand. For various other needs, the monitor is equipped with two HDMI ports, a display port, a USB-C port and two USB-A output ports. Your MacBookPro can be powered by a connected USB-C cable. The monitor itself is powered by a fairly large brick, but is long enough to fit on most floors. Overall I am very happy with this incredibly functional and excellent monitor, especially at a reasonable price! For me it definitely has a FIVE STAR rating and easily earns my honest and very warm recommendation. My second external monitor connected is an older but perfectly working Dell 2410, but I will probably buy a second identical LG monitor to replace it soon.
