I've never had a toaster that wasn't high enough. Well I found one! The toaster is easy to use and uses bagels quite often, you just need to set the temperature level FOR the bagel. It takes time to understand what works. I also have mini bagels and they need to be adjusted as well. The cuts are wide enough, that's not a problem. The toaster is simple, the adjustment knob and the bagel button. Different types of bread and bagels may have different levels of customization, but keep experimenting to see what works best. So, my only big flaw right now is that the popper isn't slapping high enough. Take the toast carefully!
