Review on πŸ”’ Kwikset Halo Wi-Fi Smart Lock Keyless Entry Electronic Touchscreen Deadbolt with SmartKey Security, Satin Nickel by Henry Hunter

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Follow-up inspection (after prolonged use)

FIRST RATING: I like the features of this lock. However, the touchscreen function is difficult to activate. SECOND OR FOLLOWING REVIEW: Now that I've had the lock for a while I have to say I'm not very impressed PRO: to have such a lock for security Excellent. I like the fact that the panel is not visible (which is also a problem: see below). CONS: It is difficult to activate the number pad to make it visible. The app is buggy and keeps disconnecting, requiring you to log in again (so make sure you remember the tour password). If you've set up two-step verification, you'll also have to wait for the code. Why couldn't it just keep you connected? If you share the password with the family on the tour, they will also be separated. In this case they will require a confirmation code which will be displayed on the tour's phone. All in all, looking back, I regret not having bought a device with a visible keyboard but better functionality. : Another unpleasant feature: in order to disable the automatic locking function, you need to be close to the lock. You cannot do this if you are not at home. Then what is the point of remote functions? I wouldn't buy it again. FINAL REVIEW: I'd happily return it and buy a less sophisticated one without the Halo screen. I am very dissatisfied with it.
