OK. I bought a used device that was returned by Amazon to test. I installed a whole house speaker system and wanted to use a separate single channel internet radio that was energy efficient, VERY reliable for 24/365 MOH (music on hold) operation for my wired phone system and was "always on". as background music for my entire home system. When I received it I wasn't impressed. Well it actually looked great and felt great due to the high quality plastic. but it keeps restarting and closing. It continued to do so. although I had the battery in the battery compartment and the power pack plugged in at the same time. I even opened a refund on Amazon. but then i realized i had used 1 incompatible brand name alkaline battery in the device when i took the batteries out to return them. I decided to test it with 4 suitable batteries. and all of a sudden it worked great. It's been working for me for 10 days in a row. Leave it on with the sound off, but turn on my phone system (IT HAS A LINE OUT!) which is perfect for my phone and also as an input for my WHS. I set 5 presets for my favorite internet radio stations and use the APP to change the volume (internal speaker only) and station. (NOTE: Use the UNDOK app, not the SANGEAN app from 2011. It barely works. The UNDOK app is fast, smooth, easy to use and almost like using the buttons on a radio. NOW>> As for the sound it is GREAT QUALITY it sounds very very high quality and one of my stations is a classic KUSC and it sounds better than any of my other units recommend it the original price is a bit high but buy a returned unit from amazon i did this and it was 2/3 the price of a new one and it was brand new with all the stickers on it.I know a lot of people would be discouraged by the constant restarting (caused by my mismatched batteries) but as soon as I changed it I got the problem is solved and works great (already 10 days)
