My 3 year old son has been playing golf since he was 1 year old. I've been wanting to get him a golf set for a long time as I saw his interest in it and finally bought it for Christmas. He is obsessed with this golf set. The only thing I didn't like about this toy is that the colors of the part of the bat you hit the ball with don't match. It doesn't matter, but if you want matching colors I would skip this option. Another downside is that the golf balls were very difficult to get out of the nests. I had to use scissors to pry them out. The second time around, getting them out of the nests was a little easier because I didn't have to use anything other than my fingers to get them out, but it still took a while. I have small hands so I think that was my advantage this time. I think it will get easier over time, but it's a bit difficult to do at the moment. They're still breaking I think.
