Review on 💦 WAYNE PC4.5 1/2 HP Cast Iron Multi-Purpose Pump With Suction Strainer, Model 55832 by Omar Malvo

This is a great pump. I read several reviews before purchasing this pump and am glad I bought it. I got it to drain the water heater in my cabin to shut down the cabin for the winter. Haven't tried it in the cabin yet, but I've leaked a few gallons. Bucket of water to try. I am very impressed. It dispenses water from the hose very quickly and doesn't take time to drain 5 gallons. Bucket. I made several modifications. I added a switch to the pump. It doesn't come along and I totally understand why they don't put it on. If the pump is connected to the power supply with the switch in the "On" position and is not ready for operation, you can damage the pump. I plan to label my switch so it's easy to see when it's on. I also made a case for it to make it easier to carry with the switch attached. I also added a check valve to make the pump easier to prime. I keep the original plug in the check valve just to keep debris out of the pump. It is hand tightened only. Overall I am very happy with the pump and can't wait to use it next winter!
