This RAM looks very good in my hands right out of the box. The shape is good, the heat spreaders are solid and the sticks have a small gap. Very attractive and looks good in my case. RAM went straight into the slots with no issues. I turned on the computer, sent a POST, and went straight to my desktop. Well! The default RGB is a rainbow wave, which looks pretty cool. Pretty light and bright but not too much, just perfect IMHO. The LEDs are well distributed. I decided to change the RGB using MSI MysticLight software. No problems, settings worked fine and persisted even after reboot. To get the advertised speed, I booted into bios and enabled my XMP profile (using MSI B450 Tomahawk Max MOBO for reference). I went to POST with no problems and it worked as advertised with CL16 3200MHz timings. I ran MemTest64 for about 15 minutes, zero errors π Happy with the timings and speed but still curious, I decided to do a manual overclock. Essentially, this consists of going beyond the advertised speeds by manually adjusting the frequency and tightening the timings in the BIOS, rather than using the default XMP profile. Wow, I was impressed. For reference I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600 here. These are Micron E-Die RAM sticks, which are known to have great overclocking potential and are of excellent quality (it's good silicon). With this processor and my above mobile device, I was able to get 3600MHz and CL15 timings and 100% stable speed! It's also only 1.39 V. Imho impressive! Again zero errors in MemTest. Insane value considering the premium price of comparable 3600MHz sticks (mostly with worse timings). I'm sure I could even get CL14 stability with higher voltage, but I'm pretty happy with that. I've attached a picture of the RAM on my system and my current timings/frequencies. Notice in the CPU-Z image that we are multiplying that number by two to get 3600MHz since it is DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM. With so much overclocking potential and the beauty of the RGB and design, this RAM is an incredible value and a 10/10 choice. Whether you're a plug and play type or an overclocker, I highly recommend you buy this. Fast RAM for a gaming rig or any kind of performance at a great price. Great Crucial product!
