Review on 🚿 Moen 1920 Chrome Shower Cover Plate: Easy 3-Handle to 2-Handle Remodeling Update by Luis Harper

This is a good heavy record with good workmanship. This allowed me to replace my old dual handle valve with a single control valve in the wall with front access only. However, I had some problems. I used a Moen M-PACT pressure balancing valve which is very broad due to the pressure/temperature control capabilities. This left very little space for connecting piping, resulting in a very tedious installation. In hindsight, a Moen Moen 2580 PosiTemp Pressure Balanced Shower Valve, 1/2" PEX could have been used. The plate instructions do not specify how far forward the valve should be installed, and the valve instructions specify that the plastic "bottom" plate should be flush with the wall. I installed the valve all the way into the wall cavity and tried to make the bottom plate flush with the face of the cover (big mistake). After everything was stationary I adjusted Realized there was no room for good heavy duty panel mounts and the valve handle was sticking out too far.I had to mount the bottom panel flush to the WALL, too late to change, had to custom make custom mounts.
