The temperature gauge in my 1965 Mustang was too low. I've heard that some aftermarket temp sensors may not be accurate. I've read at least two posts recommending Standard Motor Products temperature sensors. Of course, advice on any forum should be taken with a pinch of salt, after installing this sensor it seems accurate. I've checked my thermostat so I know it's accurate and I've used a radiator cap with a built in thermometer to figure out when the thermostat should open and therefore the temp gauge should start reading.
