Review on Mofa Heat Gun,Mini Hot Air Gun Tools Shrink Pen With Stand For DIY Embossing And Drying Paint Multi-Purpose Electric Heating Nozzle 150W 110V (Blue) by Jeff Richardson

All in all this is a great deal, But if getting as a starter kit, I’d recommend adding on a pen!

Purchased this along with some other powders and pens/ink, the gun is light and smaller than the similar style I’d originally purchased and exchanged for this one (described as "mini” but was massive comparative to this one, was also wrong color) And it does the job well. Only complaints would be the short cord, which I read from multiple reviews on similar product is a grievance for many. Thankfully, I have a lamp with two built in outlets on top of my desk, otherwise it wouldn’t reach from the outlet below. And the pen, was already dried out quite a bit, you can’t even see a remnant of what you’re writing as compared to a branded pen—the brush tip itself was oddly destroyed after one use, the fibers splitting apart and impossible to do hand lettering to begin with, thin vs thick lines not really manageable before it entirely smushed the tip (with hardly any pressure or effort). That being said, considering the guns equivalent to this one are all around this same price range, and you also get two of the most versatile powders and a pen to start with, it’s a great deal. My returned gun was several dollars more so I’m quite pleased with my purchase!

Pros
  • Welding & Soldering
Cons
  • The stand provided with the heat gun can be flimsy and unstable, causing the gun to topple over and potentially cause damage
