So I bought this as an alternative to the metal and plastic typical carrier that you got for a cat thinking that hopefully my cat would be more comfortable getting into this carrier. I asked a question about if it was big enough to carry a 9 pound cat before I purchased it and I received an answer that was yes. Upon placing her in the carrier and seeing that there was no extension to the back she had barely any room to move and I immediately felt horrible but knew that it would be a struggle to get her into her traditional carrier to go to the vet that we need to drive an hour to so I placed her in this carrier and she was able to open it up with her claws but I caught her and was able to zip it back up and I felt very bad because it was warm outside and it seemed like she was getting really warm in it even though I had placed an ice pack and a cold water bottle and some treats in there for her to make sure she didn’t overheat and obviously had the Air conditioning in my car on for her. When I got to the vet they said that yes it was a little bit small but she just has car anxiety in general but that this carrier is not the most pet friendly unless you have a super SUPER chill kitty who is very tiny, as there is very little room to move around. Luckily the vet was able to get her into her normal carrier and taught me how to make it seem more appealing, because this will probably never get used again.
