Review on 234 4162 4Runner Replacement Downstream Upstream by Jonny Dogruyol

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Had to be modified for '04 Tundra 4.7L V8

In contrast to the original device with mounting flange, this is a screw-in sensor and a separate plate. Also, the large threads on the sensor go through the plate and are too large to fully fit the hole in the exhaust pipe. I tapered the thread down to fit. Then the large hex on the sensor will not clear the screen, which is attached to the same mounting screws as the sensor. So I changed it too. The power cord is also longer - it can be wrapped around fixed cables so it stays where it belongs. None of this matters much and it seems to work well. It was definitely a cost-effective solution... so I'm happy with that.
