Review on WEN DPA2412T Drill Press Adjustable by Brian Messerly

This is a very good product. Of course you can make your own using T-rails and 1" foil. However, it is well covered with melamine on the wear surfaces. The surface that comes in contact with the drill table is a bit slippery, so you need a strong clamping pressure, to secure the table. They come with two hinge clamps that can be positioned on either side of the drill table and attached from underneath to two sets of holes. My table was too wide to use the inner holes and too narrow to use to clamp the wider holes well.The clamps move and the melamine table moves as well.I eliminated the hinge clamps and used 1/2" scrap wood, maybe 20" long with 5/16" holes spaced the same as theirs wider holes were drilled. It tightens well and now the table is secure without excessive clamping pressure. Because of this situation, I gave 4 stars, which is further enhanced by the slippery contact surface. It just seems like a mediocre design. I could have sanded this surface with a grinder, but so far so good.
