This is my third purchase of this duvet cover in the last three years. The reason for such a large quantity was that I'm changing the color (original and still in good shape after MANY washes turn grey) and I ordered the wrong size the second time around. Definitely recommend this to everyone. The lightweight material makes it ideal for year-round use. Even with a duvet, South Texas is the perfect temperature for me. It creases easily but I like the look. If you want a smooth top I wouldn't bother with it. The color is white/almost cream. I've paired with white sheets for a fresh, clean look. Buttons are light brown. I haven't washed these yet, but I washed the previous gray soap for Pat once a week for two years. No change in color, texture and no lost or broken buttons. As with most comforters, they can be tricky to put on, but once put on they are easy to adjust. Absolutely to recommend
