I was very excited to get this candy thermometer. However, the design and quality needs improvement. We ruined our load of candy on our first use because the C° and F° buttons are right where you hold the spoon. So we didn't notice that he was reading C° all the time. No problem, user error. We'll try again, this time being careful not to press the button. Well the second time we used it (the day after it arrived) it didn't turn on. A replaceable battery and a screwdriver were included, which I am very satisfied with. So disconnected the battery and tried again. The screen flickered and went black, then turned off after about 30 seconds. All in all, the idea is great, but the actual functionality and design is terrible. I absolutely do not recommend it.
