Review on 2001720 LYRA Rembrandt Polycolor Art 🖍️ Pencils - Set of 72 Assorted Colors by Kim Sanchez

I have a lot of crayons, from very cheap to prohibitively expensive. I've heard a lot of good things about Lyra crayons so I decided to take a chance and buy them. Here are the reasons I gave these pens 4 stars and not 5 stars. First, like some other reviewers, I received a duplicate of one of the pencils - Venetian Red. If the kit had been cheaper I might not have objected as much, but for the price I paid the quality control I think would have should be better. The pens themselves are pretty good. They're not quite in the Polychromos range for quality of inking and softness, but they're definitely softer than other oil-based colored pencils I've used. And I like the fact that it comes with two Splender blenders, which I think work well with both my wax and oil pencils. The colors are more muted than I expected but I can see how they look. Ideal for landscapes and other nature scenes. I bought these to use in coloring books, I also prefer landscape and nature books so they work well in that regard. But if I want to make bright colors, like a flower garden, I have to give them up. My 4 stars instead of 5 for the following: Pencil color repeat Only 72 colors and they are not available in public storage (except for the "Splender" pencil). Some color names are MUCH different from the colors they specify - for example, my purple was a reddish/brownish color. It is very important that you try on these crayons. The value of what I received; These crayons should be around $50 in my opinion, not the $83 I spent. I like pencils in general and use them but the value for money is not what I expected from these crayons.
