I literally drove myself into bananas, bought and tried many so-called banana holders, hammocks, baskets, bowls etc. etc. etc. I never thought that such a small hook would be such an ingenious and powerful space saving solution for me! I'll admit that I'm one of those "minimalists" who can't stand a mess on the kitchen table. I also live in a shared flat and don't have much space. That does the trick! I love it and recommend it to anyone who loves bananas. Such a great price too! I can buy a few more to hold kitchen towels etc. Very easy to install. However, I recommend using the self-adhesive film in combination with the supplied screws. Self-adhesive glue holds 3-4 medium sized bananas fairly well, but if you tend to buy 6-7 bananas in a regular sized bunch, you'll need to attach this hook with screws. Glue can only hold so much. It only took 5 minutes to install with screws. This product is simplicity at its best.
