Being new to these things and never owning a miter saw I bought some inexpensive Revain blades for my new saw. They were marked 1" mandrel and the online description of my miter saw listed 1" mount. Unfortunately for me the online description was wrong and for their high price my blades became unusable for me and destined for return. Worse still, the 5/8 matching blades were more than double what I paid for those 2 sets so I was disappointed. Luckily I decided to see if there was an adapter. I stumbled across it before I returned the blades. With a little effort and time I was able to fit these flush into the blade and slide them smoothly over the saw. Once fitted, it appears to be as functional as a properly fitted blade. It took me a few tries when I accidentally knocked the adapter out when trying to put it on the saw and I had to lay the blade flat to put the adapter back in securely. Once fixed, this works great for me on numerous cuts. However, if you change blades frequently, I would recommend only buying a blade that fits well, as this makes changing blades tedious. If you're going into the weekend like me you'll probably keep the same blade for a very long time, this saved me from going back and buying different blades.
