Review on PROCURU 2-Pack 15A UL Listed Tamper Resistant Self-Test GFCI πŸ”Œ Outlet with LED Indicator and Wall Plate, White (2-Pack, 15 Amp) by Derrick Bellando

Revainrating 3 out of 5

1st outlet failed after 6 weeks, 2nd trying now

Glad I didn't write a review at all. because everything worked fine at the beginning. I bought 2 pieces as I was planning to replace 2 outlets. I originally only replaced one about 6 weeks ago. The GFCI was only ever disabled in the bottom connector (the top connector was fine). If I very slowly insert a 3-pin connector into the top connector. Sometimes it worked, but usually I was able to get it working after a few disconnects/resets. I checked all my cables and everything was perfect. I also use a high quality power strip for these tests (ZillaReel, just waiting for the LED to come on, almost no load). A day later I tried again to connect the 3 prongs to the socket. without tripping the bottom connector. I kept trying to insert it slowly and reset it when it worked. I figured if I could just successfully connect the connector I wouldn't have to fiddle with it anymore. After repeated failed attempts, the GFCI is now permanently disabled. . It will not reset. I replaced that GFCI with the second one that came with the kit. and for now it's working fine again. The reason for the 3 star rating is that I only plugged/unplugged devices about 5 times before there was a problem. If it were in the bathroom. won't it fail after 1 week of continuous use of hair dryers, razors, etc.? Conclusion: This price for 2 units is about the same as retail for 1. Make sure you buy more than you need or look elsewhere. From the reviews you can see that some devices are likely to have problems. I just hope this second outing lasts.
