We have placed sliders under all our large furniture. I ordered them by mistake so I just put them aside thinking maybe we could use them one day. That day came yesterday when we installed a new console/desk in our office and found that it didn't like being moved. For some reason there was no metal airframe on the underside of each leg. With the glider you can place a piece of furniture on the floor or carpet so that the tree is raised. Waxman furniture glides are almost perfect. They are a bit longer, but the width is right. The console/table sits on an oriental rug resting on carpeting. No problem moving. I will continue to recommend Waxman Slider to anyone who has stood long enough to hear or read about this wonderful back protector.
