Review on Dremel MM482 Universal Quick-Fit Wood and Metal Flush Cut Oscillating Blade - Black by Matt Mosley

Blade tips disappear after a project

Although this blade is expensive, it burns out after a job. I've cut regular wood and not hit any nail heads, but the blade tips are still completely gone and it won't cut again. Don't hug the Multimax ring so it sticks and buzzes instead of cutting. This blade actually oscillated correctly, at least initially, and cut perfectly. I was so pleased with mine that I spent the extra money to buy a blade that would work, but cut after about 30 minutes and that blade is now roasted. Serious? I spent $16 for 30 minutes of slicing? That's ridiculous! I can't decide whether to buy a carbide blade to test the next one or just ditch my Dremel Multi Max and buy a cheap port-haul multi-tool that actually works with general-purpose blades. All I know is that I will never spend money on this product again.
