I needed something to keep my small dog and his toy from going over the railings at our vacation home and I found this railing protector. It worked great! I didn't want to do the whole height (so as not to look through the net at the sea) so I only did half and rolled the bottom onto the floor so my dog's toy didn't fall through as well. Since it couldn't be permanent, I used shoelaces and spring-loaded cords (like jacket or sweatshirt laces), threaded and tied the laces. It worked perfectly and let the wonderful sea air circulate. This product is really useful and is washable and easy to pack for travel or whatever. I highly recommend it. The only thing I would wish for is that the pre-made holes were plugged, but that doesn't bother me.
