Review on Freud 6-inch x 5/8-inch x 1/8-inch HSS Industrial Planer and Jointer Knives (C350) with Enhanced SEO by John Larsen

I bought these because they were much cheaper than OEM replacements and gave great results with Freud table saw blades and cutters. I can't believe they are sold under their brand name. they are garbage. I bought a decent used jet planer and put these knives in it. I used a dial indicator to try to set the height of the blades. I had so many blade alignment issues that I thought the table was warped and my readings skewed. I ended up testing the blades on a machined ruler and using a pair of feeler gauges. I've seen the blades have peaks and valleys that are more than 0.015 inches apart. If a jointer is supposed to be one of the few truly accurate tools in your shop, that's just not acceptable. I will be looking for a sharpener to restore this jointer to its original blades.
