This vise is well made for its price. This precision ensures easy handling when clamping wood or metal workpieces. The ears of the screws are machined parallel to the base, which eliminates the need to shift the vise when screwing to the drill bed. I particularly like the jaw thread spindle, which is covered and protected from dirt. I can usually close and tighten the jaws by hand without a lever pin - this is an indication of the quality of the lead screw. Very good value for money.
