I wish I hadn't used a 180 thermostat instead. Everything about it was fantastic. Great brand and good design. However, I've since learned that every 10 degrees of cooling gives about 1% efficiency, as proven by the dyno method. The reason for this is that a cooler combustion chamber allows more air/fuel to enter the cylinders and therefore more power. On the other hand, warmer cylinders let less air/fuel through, resulting in better fuel economy and emissions. I'm leaning towards Dodge/Chrysler who needed a cheap and efficient way to reduce emissions to meet EPA requirements and this was their way of doing it. So what will you choose? HP or IVF? Choose your poison.
