The noise does not come from the fan

My 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 was noisy and hot, I thought it was the fan but not the thermostat and it was so easy to install and solve the problem too, thanks guys

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not bad but...

OEM T-Stat in Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning

I had 180,000 miles on my 2011 Ram and decided to do a coolant flush so I figured because you want to remove the Tstat for a flush I would change the T -Stat at the end of the flushing process. It opens at 203 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Was damaged

Great product and great price. Works as it should.

Does what it should. My 2006 Magnum R/T runs at a normal 203 degrees. This is one of those products that either works or doesn't work. And I have no problems installing and using it.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Good product! Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning

This T-Stat comes with a silicone gasket so you don't need a gasket. I had a leak at the water outlet on my Ram 1500, I removed my old T-Stat and gasket and put that in and no more leaks. Easy installation and perfect work!

Pros
  • Highest ratings for support and durability by testers
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Non-existent warranty

Worked well for about 6 months. Now my truck randomly heats up from 210 to 170 degrees then jumps back to 230 and drops back down to 210. Rinse and repeat every 10-20 minutes. When I'm idling it climbs to 230-235 degrees. I emailed the manufacturer over a week ago and still haven't received a response. Useless 1 year guarantee.

  • Cool product
Cons
  • Zero

Perfect fit for my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L V8 Hemi

My 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L V8 Hemi was found to have a leak in the thermostat housing. They removed the original thermostat, cleaned the case, removed any old gaskets that were cracked and replaced with a new one. A note on replacement, the thermostat has a brass tab; When installing the thermostat, the brass lug must be fitted upwards towards the hood.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • ill thought out

This item fits my 2006 300C Hemi 5.7 perfectly. My previous thermostat had a blown gasket. This new thermostat is particularly good as it comes with an external gasket which most of these thermostats don't have. The car is running (according to the instrument cluster) at 197 degrees, which is within threshold for the PCM to properly control coolant flow at the factory level.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Fits great on my 2005 Ram 5.7.

I wish I hadn't used a 180 thermostat instead. Everything about it was fantastic. Great brand and good design. However, I've since learned that every 10 degrees of cooling gives about 1% efficiency, as proven by the dyno method. The reason for this is that a cooler combustion chamber allows more air/fuel to enter the cylinders and therefore more power. On the other hand, warmer cylinders let less air/fuel through, resulting in better fuel economy and emissions. I'm leaning towards…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Nothing

Works the same as OEM

What can I say? This is the new Stant thermostat. I installed it on my 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi when I replaced the water pump. It is well made and fits perfectly in the water pump cutout. Just screw on the thermostat housing, no gasket needed (I bought it but didn't need it. Also no factory extra gasket). Sealed with a rubber band around the thermostat. It is set to 203 degrees like the OEM. After installation I have a temp. The needle of the pressure gauge is in the same position as the old one. I
