to my surprise it worked the first time. I plugged the USB into my Windows 10 laptop and there was no sign that anything was plugged in. I then ran Windows Fax and Scan (instructions online) and it immediately recognized the fax modem. My phone line supports fax and I have it connected to a fax modem. I then sent a test document to a well-known fax machine. It took a few minutes to send 6 pages but it worked. Windows fax and sending software is free with a window and is a good interface to use with this device. The drivers for this fax modem appear to be in Windows 10. For the occasional fax I need to send, this is perfect.
