After using this scanner in factory settings for almost two years, I only had one problem with it and I had this problem several times. everything seems to be chaotic, the scanner itself gets stuck. The light still comes on when I press the trigger and the beep sounds to indicate a successful scan, but no data is being transferred and the auto power off feature doesn't work. I can't find a reset button anywhere on the device and I have no choice but to wait for the battery to die before using it again. No, this is more than just an inconvenience that can lead to performance issues. I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than a hobby.
