You need good eyesight to see angles.

So this is a very useful tool. One complaint is that it doesn't tell you what angle you're looking at. This is not a "goniometer". Once you get used to it, it will help you make the right miter cuts when dealing with stairwells, sheathing and paneling, but you still have to guess the exact bevels because the jig is so small you won't can tell if they are pointing at 45.5* or 45.7* and an offset of 1/2* (1/4* x two parts) is enough to leave a gap. It would be an even more useful tool if they put the actual grades on the back of the tool so you can have both a corner stop and a corner finder.

Pros
  • CONSTRUCTION - Internal Teflon O-ring mechanism rotates during operation for a smooth and accurate reading of inside and outside corners.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
