It's good until it somehow comes loose.
Not as useful as I first thought. It has worked great to date when transporting my carbon fiber bike. Somehow the twisted "frame guard" slid down exposing part of my frame to the mounting clip on my luggage rack. And even after wiping down both the yoke and tread, my frame was still scratched. I now see a scratch on the top tube that wouldn't have been there had I stuck to my original tape method.
