We have a metal bed frame with wooden slats. We wanted the skirt to be easy to put on and take off. This product works very well because the velcro is already attached to the fabric of the skirt. Note. We do not use a fabric underlay that is normally placed between the box spring and the mattress. Instead, we attached our own Velcro (found on websites or hardware stores) to the top of the bed frame on all three sides. Then simply line up the velcro on the skirt with the velcro on the bed frame. All the advantages of the original product. You only need to buy a separate Velcro (3/4 inch) for the bed frame. We covered all of the top surfaces of the bed frame and the queen size frame required 220 inches of velcro. I think you could only get by with half that amount if you attached pieces of Velcro to every other foot. I think this is a good solution for those of us who have a frame instead of a spring unit and still want to easily remove the skirt. Function that does not slip off the bed.
