This table is obviously imported, as are almost all modern pre-use instruments. It's solid and perfect for what it's intended for The lead on the screws is about 0.015 which isn't too bad and can easily be compensated for.I could easily readjust the screws to reduce the lead and may do so in the future if the need arises.My old South Bend lathe from the 1940's has more play than this and I've learned how to make it work very well If you need more accuracy just put the dial indicator on the table and you'll get all the accuracy you don't need deep enough.I had some standard 5/8T nuts and had to grind the top of the nut in. When the nut is in the slot the nut is above the countertop and the E Result is no. It is possible to clamp everything firmly to the countertop with a standard T-nut.
