It's hard to give a good review, but it's not the manufacturer's fault it failed. It just annoys me that it was made for this tank. You can't expect this thing to work on every AIO tank. Think about it: if the flow of water is restricted in any way, then gravity won't help you either. The best solution is to make your own return filter like I did and just add an extra filter thread (available at Walmart as doll stuffing) to keep stupid fish from getting into the return and hiding. The downside is that you'll have to change the fill more often, but this doesn't dry out the sump or form scale on the surface like it does. Before you buy this thing, consider other options as this case will go bad. Everyone. Do not buy a more powerful return pump that seems to match this protection. Instead, create your own media container that can use filter threads, then use more of them and switch them more often. Seriously, even the dirtiest fish can't get through, and the thread (stuffing for Walmart dolls) is very cheap and clean and doesn't even harm the Anacropora.
