Review on Colorado Lightweight Men's Athletic Shoes - Xero Shoes: Inspired by Barefoot Comfort by Hector Sosa

Great shoes so far! Some minor issues

I've been wearing them almost every day for about a month now. I bought these shoes because I wanted to replace the Keen sandals I usually wear. They look similar but are also the so-called "barefoot" shoes that I wanted to try. Advertisements for Xero shoes claim that they are "not cheap" and "uncomfortable" as they are quality oriented and good for your skeleton. Structure. The first thing that struck me when I received them was that they looked cheap. For example, when I looked at them and even felt when I got them, I felt and looked like I bought really cheap, crappy 10-year-old Walmart shoes. In addition, they are quite comfortable. At first glance the shoe is a complete failure as advertised. However, after wearing them almost every day for a month, I feel comfortable in them. Despite their cheap looks, they have performed well. I've run, run and even been run/played and they hardly wear out. As far as helping my muscles/skeleton, I have no idea. I mostly catch myself walking by hitting my front foot in the "right" way, but besides, if it's doing anything, at least I don't realize it, but maybe my body will notice. Not sure. Some minor issues. 1. A lot of reviews caused difficulties to get them. True, but it's not blatant and doesn't bother me too much, but yeah, they're a bit difficult to put on.2. Listen as I mentioned before I don't think it's great and it feels and everything looks cheap/plastic (I have the black ones, FYI)3. Odor. Maybe my problem or something I got bogged down in, but they stink after a few uses. I guess it has to do with the shoes you wear without socks in a way and maybe my feet just smell special. It's not gross, but annoying. Keen has some supposedly special anti-odor soles (not sure if they work or not), but they definitely don't. Again, not too bad, and maybe I have weird bacteria or something. who knows.4. things in your shoes. Pointed toe sandals keep your feet off the ground and have that insanely well constructed outsole so I can walk through mud, muddy trails, small puddles, etc and not get much or anything in my sandals. These are of course sandals that are much more vulnerable to dirt/sand/water etc. getting in. which is annoying. But that's more typical of sandals than this particular shoe. Overall great shoes.
