Review on 🐠 Lominie Aquarium Light: Remote Control Dimmable 30W Fish Light for Freshwater Fish Planted Tank (P30 Freshwater) by Alison Parker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Light is just fine.

I am sure this flashlight is very powerful and definitely very well made. The only plastic on it is the screw that holds it to the tank. This is a powerful, well built light. The plan was to use it for my saltwater tank but I would need 3 to light it well enough and it's still a yellow light with no blue, I'd rather keep my current lights which contain blue. I had a few things I didn't do and I pretended to start with "didn't". The base mounting bracket is sloppy, the screws are fully tightened and the bevel hits the bottom before the bracket is fully tightened so there is a little play (not a big deal), a big killer if you lose the remote Out of luck if you didn't leave the light on when you lost it, there's a manual on/off switch, but it only works if you turn it on with the remote first. It's not bad light, but I find it too focused and casts a lot of shadows. I will try to grow plants in my fresh water but I will not use it for salt water. Overall not a bad light but I won't buy it again.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Low repairability
