And buying one with a magnet on the end was a brilliant move on my part. I thought it would be useful for storing small nuts or washers. It is, but what's even better is that I can "hang" it on metal at my workbench. Lights, shelves, brackets, you name it, I "stick" it to a handy metal surface and it's right at my fingertips. THAT was smart of me. The tip is adjustable in and out, so that's a bonus. Looks good, well made and quite functional. If you need a scribe, this will do.
