To tighten, twist the cap and stretch, you loosen the tension in the cap, which doesn't always work. The ratchet toe sticks out in the heel and isn't secure at all when you're heel-to-toe on the ground. I have since returned these shoes and am very disappointed that this new lacing system has not been released.
