I am an experienced model builder and this was one of the most challenging kits I've ever put together. Luckily I have a lot of tools that made this job easier but it's challenging for sure! It took quite a while to build. I tried a variety of glues and had the best results with Titebond II wood glue. Like with any model kit, take your time and read a few steps in advance just to make sure you know where you are headed. Also, get ready to make the most miniature books you've ever made in your life, holy crap.For the most part the directions were accurate but some steps were numbered incorrectly and some step photos showed the model in a more complete state which was confusing. For the price the kit is quality, a few small pieces did break when I took them out but I was able to always repair them with the glue. The model includes printed outlines for the pieces which is handy. Toward the end the pieces on the last wall did not line up the way they showed in photos, leaving gaps on both the floor and where the bookshelf met the upper floor. Not a huge deal but a little annoying since everything else fit together.Once completed it looks cool and the lights work, but it was a lot of effort, not a casual one-day build.
