After a short time, literally two days later, I noticed that the outer light blue suede/velvet layer of the collar was beginning to peel off. My cat did NOT scratch his neck excessively. I liked the look but it's sad to waste rhinestones on a piece of CHEAP leather trim underneath. It had a nice appearance out of the box, but that quickly wears off with regular use by cats. Sad.
