I am a professional blacksmith with 21 years of experience. I bought my first ultimate hook about 15 years ago. It's the one on the left in the picture. Thousands upon thousands of hooves day in and day out, you can see I'm about half an inch worn down. Hands down the best tool ever! Dung picks don't give you the leverage to clean this frog. Works on rock hard mud, snowpack, horse manure, wedged rocks and so on. Makes my work easier. The problem is that they make this product so well that if you are a casual horse owner it will last the rest of your life! Throw away the rest of your picks and do yourself a favor, this is the bomb!
