Review on 📼 Philips 1080p Upscaling DVDR/VCR Combo with Built-In Tuner - Model DVDR3545V/37 by Bill Snyder

Bought 2 used, dad and me. The main advantages were a digital tuner and the ability to record to VHS or disc. Dad's DVD would not open at all and had to be sent back for a replacement but had to fight hard with a company that claimed to have 'fixed' it. Now my VCR is not working. There was dust in the DVD tray. The tracking on the video recorder is broken, and in fact the so-called 30-day guarantee is over. At least the tuner and DVD burner still work. The new ones don't seem much better. Update 9/17/09: I sent mine back and the current one still works. The surrogate father had something with his VCR so he stopped using it. This means that one of the four systems will still be in operation in just 5 months.
