In short, I reluctantly decided to purchase this router after calling tech support about a very poor internet connection. They suspected that my existing router (Netgear WNDR 4300v2) was causing problems. Wow when I replaced my Netgear with this my speed tests dropped from an average of 110Mbps to 40Mbps on 5GHz and from 60Mbps to 20Mbps on 2.4GHz. This also applies when installing the latest Tomato firmware. Performance is even worse than my old Linksys E1200 v2 with DDWRT, which typically delivers around 50Mbps at 2.4GHz.
