Big - Simple - Great for everyday use.

We have been using this food processor for a month and we love it. This processor replaces a 15 year old model and we don't miss the old one at all. Best features, easy to use, just set the bowl like a blender and then snap the lid. No need to align and twist the pieces together. Unlike other models, this one is very easy to use and takes pride of place on the countertop. We made salsa, quick-sliced veggies for roasting, shredded cabbage for coleslaw, shredded and diced wide-necked cheese. , kneaded pasta dough and made the best potato pancakes by mashing the potatoes through the big hole at the top. The performance of the device was sufficient for all tasks. When cutting the cheese, the slices were thin and even. Over the wide mouth of the filler neck; You insert large items (potatoes, cheese) and leave about 1/4 up for the big black button to activate the safety switch. As soon as the safety switch is activated, the slicer/grater starts and large foods are fed in quickly. Simply pull out the trigger, drop another large object, and repeat the process. The engine has enough power to get going and get to work. Here, too, the very simple (click) assembly and easy cleaning far exceeded my expectations. The bowl is really big and you don't have to worry about it overflowing during the salsa. We pulled off five whole red potatoes for hash browns in just a few seconds - enough for five people. In the last month I've started using the CPU at least once every few days. It whips pasta dough from start to finish in under three minutes. (Which we set aside to run through a pasta roller for fresh pasta in many dishes.). I can quickly make sauces (like Spanish sauce with cooked fresh vegetables that you serve over chicken). The only criticism is the short cable. All new devices seem to have short cords. This is only an issue if you have multiple cases near outlets. We like this processor very much and would buy it again at any time.
