Review on MERKUR MK 70C Adjustable Double Safety by Obhed Leblanc

You're gonna cut your nose baby!

Good design and weight. I started shaving DE with the Merkur 34 but wanted to use a butterfly razor for convenience and settled on the Viking Blade Emperor. I liked the Emperor's weight, but after a few months of use, the coating in my hands started to peel off. Then I settled on a Parker metal pistol with a knurled grip. It was a "heavier" razor than a regular razor, but still lighter than the Emperor's. The downside to this was that the butterfly doors would loosen over time and I ended up never getting as close a shave as I did with the Emperor. ) and since I've found that butterfly doors almost always loosen over time, I decided to try this Merkur Futur. The handle is slippery, which I found to be an issue, but it doesn't slip in my hand any more than any other metal-tipped razor. Lever. It's hard to see in photos, but the blade hole (which is adjustable) is actually a "chute" so hair/soap doesn't clog the blade (unlike the Imperator). I started with 3 settings and a fresh pen blade and immediately cut myself twice. I'm currently 1.5 and haven't cut myself since. Overall I'm happy with this razor and we'll see how it holds up.
