As an Electronics Engineer and Instructor (FH level) I was disappointed when this unit arrived and I read the current specifications. Disappointed with the high clamping voltage! There are two parameters that determine the quality of a surge protector: 1. Clamping voltage: the lower the better. 330 = Good 400 = Fair 500 = Poor (This unit is rated at a disappointing 600 volts, which is nearly double the recommended rating. Poor. It will not work unless your devices are subjected to higher current surges than most devices will ever be rated for for safe handling without damage at 4360 joules, but it can also be a million joules and it's no use if the clamp voltage is too high and it doesn't start shutting off overvoltage fast enough! and it's the worst clamp voltage I've ever used on a Have seen or seen surge protectors. 6ft power cord is slightly shorter than most 7/20/2021 app The supplier wrote to me and said they had stopped selling this product and got a new source for surge protectors. on devices.
