Our previous car phone mount broke when the suction cup melted and then the hinge broke. I liked the convenience and the ability to put it in the perfect spot so I bought a second one thinking it was the best I could do. I ordered this holder hoping to get the same comfort. I really like everything about this holder with one exception. I don't like that it partially obscures the ventilation. I have thyroid issues and overheating (sometimes I get sick) so I need plenty of airflow even when I'm riding. Advantages: 1. EASY installation. It just snaps onto the vent and even has a little lever to tighten and hold it securely on the vent.2. Excellent quality! It feels solid and well made - I've even noticed that it doesn't "click" when you place the phone in the holder like some do. It has a very reliable system.3. Holds the phone VERY securely. I intentionally braked several times to see if the holder would come loose, but both the holder and the phone were secure.4. Can be attached to any air vent, so it doesn't matter if you're right-handed or left-handed.5. Holds the corner of the phone well. It doesn't wobble like some and ends up with the phone pointing to the ground. Disadvantages: 1. Closes the vent. If you don't need all the vents, this car phone holder is for you!
