This is pure magic. I'm pretty sure they bottle it with unicorns or something, it's so amazing. It sucks up organic waste like no other and cleans your (*um* oversaturated) aquarium of ammonia and nitrite! I have a heavily stocked aquarium, so nitrate is not a problem. The loading process is simple and works. I'm probably overpriced as I rarely wait for the beads to "black" to recharge and I've been using the same ones for a few months. The only downside is the media size. The grains are VERY small. There are a few pockets other than Seachem's that are small enough to hold the beads in. I've used 3-ply tights to make a few custom sized bags and a few beads leak from time to time. My fish spit them out though ;-) Seachem have great customer support and by the way they will answer any question you have on their forums. The representatives are very honest and give real information, for example one stated that although the instructions say to soak it for 24 hours, once it turns white again you can stop the bleaching and start the second phase. (Unofficially of course) Dump that junk coal and switch to this one!
